Nisha Patel Nasri Murder News..
Nisha Patel-Nasri was the wife of a limousine hire company operator, and in May 2006, she was found murdered, by a single stab wound to the groin, outside her home in north-west London. The man accused of organising the murder on behalf of the victim’s husband has admitted during his trial that he lied repeatedly during police interviews.
An Old Bailey jury has been told that the victim’s husband, Fadi Nasri, hired Roger Leslie to organise his wife’s murder. However, Mr Leslie denies arranging for two men Tony Emmanuel and Jason Jones, to kill Mrs Nasri. It has been alleged that Mr Nasri organised for the murder of his wife because he was having an affair with a prostitute and wanted to obtain his wife’s £350,000 life insurance policy payout, to pay off his debts.
The QC cross examining Mr Leslie has obtained the confession that Mr Leslie had been ‘uncooperative’ and had lied when he told the police he was not involved in a drug deal on the night of the murder. He had claimed that he had organised with Mr Nasri to have one of his runners pick up a 1.5 kg portion of cocaine worth £41,000 from the boot of a Hummer limousine parked outside the Nasri’s home on the night of the murder.
However, under cross examination, Mr Leslie refused to name his supplier or the chemist he used to test and process the cocaine. Phone records also showed communication between Mr Leslie and Nr Nasri and Mr Leslie and Mr Emmanuel. Mr Emmanuel has confessed to driving Mr Jones to the Nasri home to complete the drug deal, but knows nothing of the murder plot.
While Mr Nasri denies any involvement in the murder or drug deals, he explains he was calling Mr Leslie about a limousine booking. All involved deny the murder of Mrs Nasri and the trial is still in progress.
